In 1982, Juan Rayo and Nora Calderón founded Juan Rayo Ingeniería, a company that years later gave rise to JRI, which today is one of the leading engineering consulting firms for the Chilean mining industry.
Over time, and with the purpose of growing and diversifying markets, JRI created and added new companies, such as: CIMS-JRI, REICH-JRI, JRI Perú, Gerenpro, and PJ Inc.
At the end of 2024, JRI underwent a corporate restructuring that gave birth to Grupo JRI, a holding that brings together all these companies under a common purpose, vision, and shared policies.
